In Microsoft Word, create a timeline of the following events. You will be adding more events as we continue to watch the PBS series, Eyes on the Prize.
For today, the events you need to include are (Episode 4):
· Campaign begins in Birmingham

o Why was this campaign in Birmingham?
o What were the goals?
· Dr. King goes to jail in Birmingham
o Why? What charges?
o For how long? How did he get out?
o What were the letters he wrote during this time called? What did they preach?
· March on Washington
o When did it take place? Where?
o What were its goals?
· Bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church
o Where? Why?
o What happened as a result of the bombing?
o Who was responsible for the bombing? What happened to them?
