Hello. Yes, you have school today! I will let you know when our move happens, but until then, you need to attend school daily. As you come in, here are the assignments you need to complete, But first....

....a few reminders:

• The LAST DAY I WILL ACCEPT LATE/MISSING/REDO WORK IS FRIDAY, JANUARY 7.
  
• The end of the quarter is Friday, January 14. I will do report cards on this day.
• GENOCIDE WEBSITES are due Wednesday, January 5. Presentations will be Wednesday & Thursday. You will only receive 15 minutes on Wednesday to put any final changes on your website. So, basically, the bulk of your work should be completed by TODAY. Failure to complete your website will significantly and negatively impact your social studies grade.

1) Vocabulary
In your blogs, complete the following assignment:
Blog Title - Week 9 Vocabulary Synonyms, Images, and Sentences
Assignment -
- Copy the following synonyms for each of your vocabulary words:
Survey (noun) - questionnaire, poll
Survey (verb) - Ask, look at
Invest (verb) - spend, put in, devote, provide, supply, empower
Region (noun) - area, district, county, section, state, expanse, territory, zone
- Find an image that depicts each of your vocabulary words
- Write a sentence that describes/explains why you chose the image you did & how it connects to your vocabulary word

2) PLATO - English/Language Arts
Go to: Written and Oral Conventions
Assignment: Choosing Amount/Number, Capital/Capitol, and Imply/Infer
Print the mastery test (with your name printed on it) and turn in. If your name does not print, you need to show Ms. S or Julianna your assignment on the computer and have us sign the printout.

3) Redo/Missing Work
Everyone is required to complete at least one missing/redo assignment today. Go on your Edmodo and select the assignment you will submit. Ms. S or Julianna needs to see the assignment you are redoing so that you don't try to be sneaky and turn in something you've already done. This is for your benefit! Many of you missed work from when there was a sub - work on those assignments. Several of you are also behind in your genocide websites. You are presenting tomorrow! Work on those. USE YOUR TIME WISELY.
