Week 9 Vocab Blogs & Week 10 Vocab Blogs

Hello my favorite students! I hope that everyone BEHAVES themselves this week! I will come by and check on you on Friday when I return.

To make this a bit easier, your vocab blogs are posted in just one post. Complete them as you see fit - you will have your vocabulary quiz on Friday.

Your week 9 vocabulary words are: regulate, institute, and circumstance.

Title your blog posts:
Monday - Vocabulary Defintions & Examples
Tuesday - Vocabulary Synonyms, Images, and Sentences
Wednesday - Vocabulary Sentences
Thursday - Vocabulary Paragraph

MONDAY, MAY 23
Your vocabulary words are: regulate, institute, and circumstance.
ASSIGNMENT -
** Find the definition for EACH word.
** Copy the following example sentences.
Regulate (noun)- I think that when the school regulates who can play sports they should do it based on grades.
Institute (noun, verb) - When I am governor of California, I will institute programs for education.
Circumstance (noun)- Under no circumstances should you leave school without permission!

TUESDAY, MAY 24
Your vocabulary words are: regulate, institute, and circumstance.
ASSIGNMENT -
** Copy the synonyms for each of your vocab words:
Regulate - standardize, control
Institute - Organization, association, start, introduce, establish
Circumstance - Condition, situation

WEDNESDAY, MAY 25
Your vocabulary words are: regulate, institute, and circumstance.
ASSIGNMENT -
** Write TWO (2) SENTENCES for each word.

THURSDAY, MAY 26
Your vocabulary words are: regulate, institute, and circumstance.
ASSIGNMENT -
** Write a paragraph (remember, a paragraph is FIVE SENTENCES) that uses all three of your vocabulary words.

Component (noun) - The right to vote is a component of a democratic society.
Exclude (verb) - I exclude red meat from my diet.
