Monday, May 9

Good morning! Welcome to WEEK 7 of FOURTH QUARTER! Guess what that means? If you are working on an independent subject, you only have until next week to turn it in! Yikes! That means you have until NEXT MONDAY, MAY 16 to complete any work that you are completing at home independently. If you are planning on returning to the district in July, this is imperative. If you are planning on returning to the district in July, you also NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DISTRICT ASAP. If you do not make this appointment, you will not be eligible to return at the beginning of the school year.

As you come in...be happy that you are done testing!! :)

And here are your morning assignments (isn't it nice to be back to a regular schedule?)

1. Vocabulary.
Your week 7 vocabulary words are: similar, theory, and section.
In your blogs, you need to complete the following post:
BLOG TITLE: Week 7 Vocabulary Definitions & Examples
BLOG ASSIGNMENT:
*** For each word, you need to find the DEFINITION FOR THE VOCABULARY WORD.
*** You also need to copy the following example sentences for each word:
Similar (adj) - Ms. S can always tell when two assignments are too similar...it makes her very sad when her students copy off each other's work, rather than trying to complete it on their own and learn something!
Theory (noun) - Darwin had a revolutionary theory about evolution - we now refer to it as the survival of the fittest.
Section (noun, verb) - The hairstylist had to section off pieces of hair in order to only highlight the top layer.

2. PLATO - English/Language Arts
Assignment: Choosing the Best Linking Word to Join Clauses

3. REDO WORK
You need to check your Edmodo grades! Get a piece of paper, write down TWO MISSING or REDO ASSIGNMENTS that you need to complete. Show Ms. S or Julianna the fact that these assignments need to be redone/madeup, and have us SIGN THE PAPER.
Then, DO YOUR MISSING WORK! Two missing/redo assignments are due TODAY.

You have until 9:00AM to complete your vocabulary, PLATO, and TWO (2) MISSING assignments.
