Good morning everyone!

A few important notes:
- We are in WEEK 7. The quarter is over Friday, June 3. You will get your report cards about a week or two later.
- If you are planning on returning to the district for the beginning of the new school year in July, YOU NEED TO MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH THE DISTRICT NOW. Remember, going to back to regular school has nothing to do with me - it is not a decision I make. You need to take your parent/guardian and see if the district will accept you back.
- If you are working on independent electives at home, I need ALL YOUR WORK TURNED IN BY MONDAY, MAY 16. I will not accept work past this time and this means it will not show up on your upcoming report card. If you are keeping a blog for independent reading, I need your blog URL and the books you read.

As you come in, here are your assignments. Steph will be here at 9AM to help with the career class so you have until that time to get your assignments completed:

1) Vocabulary.
Your week 7 vocabulary words are: section, theory, and similar.
In your blogs, complete the following post:
BLOG TITLE: Week 7 Vocabulary Synonyms, Images, and Sentences
BLOG ASSIGNMENT:
*** For each vocabulary word, copy the following synonyms:
Section - Part, piece, divide
Theory - Guess, idea, hypothesis
Similar - Alike, related, comparable
*** Find an image that represents each of your vocabulary words.
*** Write a sentence that explains to me how the image you chose accurately represents the vocabulary word.

2) PLATO - English/Language Arts
Assignment: Separating Ideas into Paragraphs: Tutorials 1 & 2

3) Redo work. READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
*** Go to your Edmodo.
*** Write down your points earned out of points possible and calculate the percentage you have FOR EACH CLASS.
*** Have Ms. S sign this paper.
*** Find at least one missing assignment or redo assignment and complete it.
*** Staple the paper where you figured out your grades and the redo assignment together and turn it in.

4) Career Class.
Steph will be here at 9AM to begin PowerPoint work on this.
However, many of you still need to complete the Career Packets, which include:
*Resume
*Cover letter
*Request for letter of recommendation
*Thank you letter (NOT the mock interview thank you)
*One Year Goals
*Five Year Goals
*Janet Thomas Memorial Scholarship Essay
You need to take your checklist and the final drafts of each of the above assignments, staple them together, and turn it in. I will not accept the packet until ALL assignments are completed.
I will not accept any work for this past Friday, June 13.
