Cloning became a hot topic when Dolly the Sheep was cloned from an identical sheep in 1997. Cloning basically 1) __________ to creating a genetic twin. There is no evidence that human cloning has occurred yet, but it is believed that scientists have the ability to do so. Supporters of human cloning say that it could help couples who are struggling with conceiving a baby. More importantly, many people say that human cloning could be used to save lives by cloning a diseased liver or heart or to replace a body part like an arm.
